The Modoc doesn't connect with the McCloud. The McCloud connected with the Inside Gateway route. Can you imagine a 10,000 ton coal train negotiating the switchbacks between McCloud and Mt. Shasta City?

Pass some of that Maui Wowie over to me. I want to take a hit.
