Speculation about the silence regarding BNSF - since they now expect to have Amtrak run things, and since Amtrak already runs between Barstow & Fullerton, perhaps they assume Amtrak can take care of that part of the setup? Like this would become a section of the SW Chief? Some previous press releases look like this bunch operates as much on assumption as on reality ... or else they're still talking.

Also wondering - we now see some progress on details regarding a LV station site and at least some of the cars they need, but I haven't seen anything about the real estate/track arrangements for Fullerton yet. Unless they plan on just pulling in to the existing station, unloading, reloading and leaving with minimal servicing and having their customers use the commuter parking garage. If so, they might find that in theory that works, but not in practice ...
