Recently there was an exchange of posts regarding the Southern Pacific's "Sun Tan Special" that ran to, and parked at, the boardwalk at the beach at Santa Cruz, CA. I used to ride this train when it was using the Daylight equipment and locomotive. That was many, many years ago. After that exchange of posts I got to wondering - with no firm recollection - of the timetable for that run.

Does anyone on this discussion board have the time to post a copy of the timetable page for that train, with times and stops involved? I would appreciate seeing that just to hopefully refresh a fading memory!

I do remember one trip in particular where someone in an auto pulled on a crossing stopped and committed suicide. Brakes were locked and we had flat wheels for the rest of the trip there and home. Ironically, after the train slid to a very loooong stop, it finally came to rest in front of a small roadside church with a spire that announced "Jesus Saves."
