If I can remember right, and this is going back a long ways, my Dad took me on it a few times. It seems like the train was about 18 Harriman cars long with a couple of Geeps pulling it. I believe a child's fare was 50 cents from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. I can remember riding in the first car and standing in the vestibule right behind the Geeps and around Gilroy kids were jumping across between the car and the locomotive and we were really rolling along. Also there were people playing cards and someone thought it would be fun to throw the cards up into the overhead fans and have them fly all over the car. It was pretty hard for the crew to keep track of all the goings on on such a long train.
