SP worked their 70-tonners out of Eugene. I have seen them in downtown Eugene, and Springfield also. After the line to Coburg was taken out of service. They did run up to Coburg, used there because of weight restrictions on the bridge at Armitage. Have seen pictures of them in Albany, on the Coos Bay branch, in Coquille etc. Coos Bay Lumber did run their SW-1200's from Powers to Coos Bay and back, passing through Coquille. Think the SP used the 70-tonners because of the light rail into some of the industries on the Coos Bay line. Some went to Weyerhaeuser out of Springfield, and at least one went to the White City Terminal RR north of Medford.
