I find that protocol inadequate. Mind you I am merely a BART rider since day one and a taxpayer and have never worked for a railroad. That said, as an electrician, I work in an industry where mistakes and oversights can also be fatal.

This accident mimics the 2008 incident wherein a track worker was killed by a wrong railing revenue train near Lafayette IINM.
Apparently, BART does not do a more rigorous protocol when track workers are on the ROW . I hope they are ordered to do so.
