No, no it really doesn't. That $3.3 billion is not a big giant raidable pinata from which to beat money for the POTB.
You want perspective? Connect Oregon was $100m. The state's share of POTB repair funds could go to far more pressing projects around the state.
The impacts of losing the POTB shouldn't be ignored. The Oregonian's advocacy of making it a trail is just plain ludicrous. However, when your car breaks down every day, eventually you realize its stupid to keep paying to fix it and buy a better car.
