My compliments to all for this intellegent discussion thread. Hopefully those with some
influence are reading this thread. Minor correction, it is my understanding that the Port of Tillamook Bay no longer owns the rock pit at Cockran as it was sold some time ago.
I don't know the right answer but the short line problems very well outlined by Shortline Sammie have me greatly concerned about the environment we are leaving for my grandchildren.

While others may take exception to the Connect Oregon grants and process, I appreciate that the Governor pushed forward this expenditure of Oregon Lottery Funds; IMHO, a long overdue investment in Oregon's non-highway transportation infrastructure. Further dismantling of this infrastructure as we see the price of oil going up and the supply going down just doesn't quite add up for me.
