Now that the crazy has begun to take effect, I still have a few questions, still not answered:
1) Someone said twenty cars a week is not much, but is that correct?
2) Is 115 lb okay for the freight volumes expected (20-100 cars per day maximum "ever" in an ideal world?) given this "high use" rail life expectancy for the next 12 years?
3) What does any of this simple request to get information on the feight volumes of the NWP have to do with the sudden reappearance and sudden sprouting of a thousand years of redwood growth that is long gone, or the weird notion that we should nuke the 3 or 4 percent left to provide the "freight" for this line?
4) Just how do you know all about this secret nefarious conspiracy between Navato, GGC, the Bavarian Illuminati, after all, isn't it supposed to be a secret?
Any and all answers are acceptable, as sometimes this kind of crazy on Altamont is nearly as fun to read as the interesting things people post about trains.......
