I assume you got the sarcasm. I was fully aware of all the facts you state along with corrections to the other ridiculous error.
In fact now that I think about it he dates the aforementioned Sacramento Daylight photo as being earlier but the GP9 was a post 1965 number. If the author doesn't know what Norden or the coast route is, he certainly isn't going to pick up on dating photos by pre or post 1965 numbers.
