As with almost all transportation improvements that tend to benefit certain property by improved access in CA since Prop 13, the SMART project has nothing whatsoever to do with local property taxes. It's mostly voter approved local sales taxes paying for SMART, and a very small portion of federal and state match back, from what we send to them.

And even though voters approved it and agreed to tax themselves, by nearly a 3 to 1 vote, they really didn't know what they were doing in promoting evil trains as an alternative to the joys of the 101, by the all knowing vast evil BART conspiracy brainwashing everyone, and now Evil Thomas is finally really coming, and must be stopped, before it is too late!

And soon, this killer train that we know him to be, this evil killer Thomas will be lying in wait at crossings for unsuspecting motorists, where it will silently fall upon those trapped on the tracks like a deadly little Chucky on Rails.....waiting to devour thousands of innocent motorists.

Even Godzilla couldn't be worse than Evil Thomas.......
