I go out of my way to offend all of the above and more. Stupid is stupid and hypocrisy is hypocrisy, so what if it is self serving Nimby's, train haters, science deniers, and other delusional fools of all political stripes are fair game as far as I'm concerned. And, then their are the idiots we elect to represent us.....always fair game when our choice are largely limited to somewhere between dumb and dumber.

I've dealt with lefto 710 whackjobs and wealthy nimbys bleating about ancer causing/valley fever/loony tune/tunnel trolls(???)on the 710 tunnel, and I've actually spoken before right wing transit haters who are actually funded by oil companies, and bull$#it is what it is......and, it's bad for you.

So I find plenty to be sarcastic about with the state of such dubious enterprises as the high speed fiasco, or the games at the MTA, and yet can understand the simple motives of a few folks still trying to do something worthwhile like SMART and NWP, and tell the difference. And some of the noted posters on the BART/NWP/SMART conspiracy are just too easy.....not to prey upon with sarcasm.

Soon we will have the zero emission plug in google car, and that will finally take the "chimp" out of the loop, so we won't have the "chimps" running the gated SMART crossings into the oncoming train.....so that, at least will be one less thing we can feel "guilty" about in the near future....?

And yes, some of the more cynical folks in the automated vehicle community do sarcastically refer to us as the "chimp"....at least partially based on the way we've been observed to drive.

I can't wait to ride SMART, and the Gold Line Extension.....

We do need more frequent, accessible, and speedier rail and transit alternatives and I have several systems in my career to show for it. But, I also support need to invest in good roads, I oppose poisoning our air, or destroying our climate, or wrecking our cities, because I understand the economics and science, and I support the technologies and science that can fix these things.

I don't believe in the revolution, the pie in the sky in the by and by, the invisible hand, or the evil gubmint conspiracy theories.....I believe humans are human and institutions are institutions, and if they are well focused and well grounded they do a reasonably good job, and if not, they don't.....We live in an age of miracles while we appear to be governed mostly by fools.....so my sarcasm would appear to be well warranted.

I actually like trains, though.
