Um, NOWERE in the LA times article posted by Hutch does it mention any state regulations as having anything to do with the plant closing. What it DOES mention is that the plant:
Produces only one product
Has only one customer
Couldn’t find other customers or other things to produce
So this plant closing has ABSOUTULY NOTHING TO DO WITH STATE REGULATIONS! It doesn’t matter what state your plant is located in, if your one customer stops buying your one product and you can’t retool to make anything else, then you are pretty much out of luck, no state regulation or lack thereof will help you.
