On Topic: Rail Served Aerosapce Plants in LA South Bay

There were tracks into the Long Beach Airport area at one time that served an near by automobile plant, but did McDonnell/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing have RR service?

Hughes Airport, Culver City, had PE service. They would bring in a reefer full of turkeys for the holiday employee gift.

Hughes, El Segundo, with Santa Fe Harbor District service, had tracks leading into the east end of Bldg R5, but that was leftover from when it was a Nash Rambler plant. Near by North American Aviation, Douglas and Northrop also had Santa Fe service.

PE/SP served Douglas/McDonnell Douglas in Torrance.
