ENOUGH!!!! Its not a conspiracy

Don't you ever get tired of the vitriol spewed toward public transit, BART in particular. Let me make this perfectly clear, so it gets through the tin-foil hat you are wearing.
1. There is no, nor ever has been, a BART conspiracy to take over all transit in the Bay Area. What you are seeing is called collaboration. It is a good thing.
2. The technology used in BART was not driven by an SP conspiracy. There is little to no real evidence to believe SP was ever worried about it. I doubt they cared enough to waste brain cells on such a stupid idea. The technology is old. Yes, some of it was old when it was implemented. This was driven by the contractor, not BART. It was not driven by SP in any way shape or form. It simply was a way for the contractor to make more money (ie cheaper parts). BART has been spending years working to modernize things and make sure it continues to work. Had you actually spoken with techs and engineers who've worked there (especially those who worked there before revenue started), you'd know this already.
Fact is, BART is no different than any other transit agency, fighting aging and antiquated equipment. This is what ALL TECHNOLOGY companies deal with. Its not news and it is not part of some grand conspiracy. The fact is, the explanations for BART's tech woes are simple - always have been, always will be. But the idea of Occam's Razor is lost on those wearing tin foil, as I am sure this post is.
