Ahhh 3.2 meters wide
A fact ! Thank
To what points are the 3.2 meters measured?
By calculator, I get 126 inches
THe SP O-A-B cars, later known as PE Blimps, were 124 inches wide over sills, about 6 inches wider than SP steel cars of the same era [ 118 in over side sheets].
Not sure why 66 inch gage is a big deal- it seemed like a good idea at the time :>).
The dumb idea was to break gage for the DMU extension. Maybe now that the electicity won't work, Indian DMUs could get to Walnut Creek
Comparisons to CAcaHS-
New and exciting tech not just old rattling Key system bridge units or new cars on old track
[CAca no real improvements to services folks actually use, but exciting pie in a tunnel]
Hi speed
[CAca REALLY hi speed, no really]
A REAL MAP- several in fact
[ CAca Map? who doesn't know where LA and Frisco are? I don't got to show you no steenking map]
And say, didn't BART's core come in close to budget? How close ? Maybe better to the point, BART HAD a budget.
Of course calling it Indian Gage does make it sound thirdish worldly
Scuzzi, I gotta go look under the bed for monsters and conspirators
