The Geary bus line is not very long but very busy and has a major trolley bus storage facility on route at Presidio which can be expanded. By now we should be able to get enough battery on board to get to the TBT off wire on the small section on Market St. to avoid more complexity to the overhead.
They ought to try 3-section articulated buses on Geary - the loadings are that heavy.
I advocate mining a trolley bus subway on Geary inbound from approximately Laguna. Some #31 express runs could possibly be brought over to use the Geary tunnel. Another possibility would be a trolley coach tunnel surfacing north of Chestnut on Fillmore under Pacific Heights to Geary and Laguna. That would give you a pretty decent express line from the Marina into downtown.
