Sadly, it doesn't matter. Amtrak is a bit of a non-entity here in Phoenix, with one train each way, about fifty miles south of town, in the middle of the night. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 90 so the AMD-103s should be fine.
Now as BOB2 likes to say, we like trains, and Phoenix could use more of them. The most likely place for them to go should be to the west, but there are geographic challenges. And that the "passenger line" west of town has been out of service for years....
