After reading through all the blah blah blah, the upper temperature limit for all GE locomotives is something like 129 or 132 degrees C, measured in the lube oil, at which point the output begins to be reduced by the computer. How much the outside, ambient temperature affects this depends on the electrical load on the engine and how well the cooling system is functioning.
