I still find all those calling CA High Speed Rail a fiasco and doesn't meet ANY of our travel needs very interesting. The exact same arguments were made in the 1930's before construction of the Colorado River Aqueduct. It was called a boondongle, unnecessary and a way for the politicans to spend money. Today it is absolutely vital to our needs. Today's "way too expensive" is tomorrow's "wow that was a steal". Only time will tell. Lets ask those living in the year 2100 if it was a waste.
