I agree with George. Is it money well spent? Passenger train accidents are spectacular and somewhat rare. They get a disproportional amount of news coverage. An occasional death is what is expected in life in general.It was that this was the first run that made it really noteworthy. Sort of a Titanic on rails. How much is life worth? I don't know but spending a bundle to save a few may not be the best use of resources.
