I won't fill up this thread with lots of YouTube links, but just want to mention one video of 1744 doing a run-by at about 50 mph. That would've been neat to see in person. I missed out. It won't happen again for a long time.

1744 was doing around 50 mph which was above the SL&RG speed limit for this locomotive. But it was sure fun to see it go by.
