SMART's Weekday Ridership is 27% Below Forecast According to SMART's Annual Report

Check out the SMART Annual Report where Farhad reports
the following:

"In 2017, SMART carried a total of 252,295 passengers, with a daily average of 2,191 on weekdays and 1,393 on weekends."

Note: the forecast was for 3,000 riders per weekday.

Ridership is 27% below forecast.

It's consistent with Clipper reports produced weekly by the MTC
after adjusting for a small under count of about 300 riders per weekday.

The weekend number is inflated because of the huge ridership numbers
occurring in the first couple of weekends. However, weekend ridership
appears to be leveling off around 500/weekend day, based on Farhad's statement
at the last Board meeting.
