Sunday Seattle Times / Metrolink Journalistic Gaffe...
In The Seattle Times , Sunday 9/21/2008, page A - 3, Ron Judd's column " The Wrap "; he makes reference to " ...the conductor in last week's deadly head - on Metroline crash in Los Angeles was determined to have been texting at the controls." Next paragraph: " Texting, thankfully, is now a no - no on the bridges of trains in California...".
How many errors so far ???
1) The CONDUCTOR was texting ???
2) MetroLINE ???
3)Trains have BRIDGES ???
4) A law has already been passed banning texting on a train "bridge" in Caliphonia ???
Poor Ron Judd must be too overworked from writing a whopping TWO columns every week, to have the energy to CHECK THE FACTS FIRST. I have already informed him of the error of his ways; others can do so too :
