Wow--as a newspaperman and a railfan, I'm embarassed. Yes, two columns a week leaves you plenty of time for research and fact-checking--if that's Ron's only job. I am the editor of a weekly newspaper AND write around 10 stories a week. And we rarely have to correct a factual error.

Maybe Ron spends too much time watching Star Trek reruns.

I've always said a good reporter's best friend is a good editor. Does Ron have one?
