A non railfan "Real" reporter at a "Real" newspaper, who thinks this web site is too small to be worthy of his precious time; yet obviously spent time here. Try to figure that one!

Fact 1: Your snarkyness about your own errors being pointed out, clearly shows us another fine example of elitist media arrogance. Thanks for proving George's original point for him!

Fact 2: That you rarely have had corrections is only because you wouldn't know the truth if it bit you in the ass anyway. You don't seem to have a clue how many times you got it wrong and left it wrong. But of course, that is because if anyone tries to inform you, out comes the "snarky" replies. Sounds like you wanted it wrong in the first place.

Fact 3: Actually! We are onto you (the media), and have been for quite a while. Even us poor unwashed ordinary Americans are smart enough to notice that the media's elitism and arrogance merely covers up chronic errors; premature or fallacious assertions; outright falsehoods; all sorts of "Dis-information"; and worst of all, extreme selective reporting on all political or social issues. It seems y'all don't bother to even pretend objectivity anymore.

Fact 4: The guys (and gals) on this forum are really tired of facts 1 - 3. Moreover, they are not alone. This is a common thread to be found on many forums, covering many diverse interests. All are tired of it.

Fact 5: Your job is in actual jeopardy because of facts 1, 2, 3 & 4. Surely, you have noticed that the news industry is in sharp decline. We unwashed ordinary Americans no longer believe much of what we hear in the news anymore; and even worse, wonder about what was left out (it's often obvious something was left out). Having lost almost all credibility, the traditional media is no longer of much use to anyone wanting the real facts before they make up there own minds - about anything.

Perhaps, you should start a movement to reform the "Traditional" media, in hopes that true objectivity might again at least be a pretended principle. Also, quit trying to get the scoop - wait until you have the facts down solid. No more "Dan Blathering" about shot to death Presidents (Ronald Reagan) - or guilty trainmen, either!
