I like the way he called the cab of the train a "bridge".
It's similar to the Starship Enterprise in more ways than one:
You can appear to be fiddling with the complex controls, like Ryker
You can have a special railway police presence in the cab, like Worf
You can be on the radio to a dispatcher you will never meet, like Computer
You have a conductor that handles problems that arise in the engine room, like Geordi
You have a rulebook dictating what you should do when you question yourself, like Data
WEY AH NOT GOING TOO LOOSE THA EHNTAHPRISE. NOHT TOO THA BOHRG. NOHT WHILE I'HM IN COHMAHND. NUHMBAH WHAN, FIHAR TOHPEEDOHS.......
(We are not going to lose the Enterprise. Not to the Borg. Not while I'm in command. Number one, fire torpedos.......)
