Perhaps the Amtrak story gaffe is due to the fact they don't go through Southern Idaho. An obvious reference to the old Pioneer route. I personally like the news stories involving Amtrak, in which Amtrak is considered the owner of the tracks.
BTW, I did receive 2 E - mails from Ron Judd today, in which he apologized & promised online & printed retractions. His excuse was an AP story which he had used as reference. Strangely though, of all the reports I have read, both in print and on - line, none have mentioned the CONDUCTOR texting issue. If his excuse is accurate, it's a sad example of how misinformation, quoted often enough, can become the gospel truth.
