As interest rates spike due to the new bloated 800 billion dollar deficit from "tax cuts that are being "borrowed" in the "open market" are finally choking off the latest market "binge" buybacks, paid for with "tax cuts' to corporation, using deficit Federal "borrowing" (aka "bonding"????), with the interest and principle on those "bonds" paid by all of us taxpayers in future taxes, or in less revenues, and future cuts to our pensions, or Medicare premium increases, one wonders how any fool could still think of "bonding" or "deficit spending" (aka borrowing money on the national or state "credit card" to be paid back with our "taxes") is s some kind of political "panacea" for our economy, or some kind of "free lunch" to pay for our dilapidated highways.

Bonds might be useful and should be used, when appropriate for certain large "high" cost benefit public works (LAUPT run-through is an example), if and where, the costs of bond repayment (principle and interest) are less than the benefits derived (time savings to users, cost savings to operating agencies). But, to pay for ongoing operations, depreciation on, and maintenance costs or our roads, from our ongoing use, is probably one of the best ways I can think of to put us all on that "road to serfdom".

Not only do some of these bigger talking fools on this thread not know jack squat $hit about State transportation funding. it sources, or how it is distributed, or used, but some of you really do appear to suffer from the reported fact about America being 43rd in adult math and science literacy, which causes some of you to actually belief some of this kind of utter nonsense about using "bonding" as some kind of source of "free money"....

How can anyone really be out of money? Don't they still have their credit cards?
