In 1989, John Shaw & I follwed the 800 up the Columbia River from Portland to Pendleton. For a brief bit, we were right even with the engine and I noted that we/they were right at 71 mph. I asked Steve Lee in Pendleton that nite and he said that the trailing diesel "never made a watt of power". Very impressive.
