It's intersting to find all these railfans that remember all the things I remember. My uncle, Bernard, was one of the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific watch inspectors in Berdoo. He also had one of the best collections of photographs and audio recordings of the happenings with UP, SP & ATSF. Growing up in a railroad family in Riverside/San Berdoo gave me the chance to see how it was done in the 40',50' and 60's. I am greatfull for all the good times both working for the UP and railfanning the Inland Empire. Thanks to Bob Wagner, Chard Walker, Bill Gardner and others for showing me around.
