On most railroads, you'll get fired for 30-60 days for a Restricted Speed violation. This is one level away from having your job terminated. Not many guys are willing to take this chance.
Keep in mind that if you're required to move at restricted speed (not to exceed 20 MPH) - and you hit ANYTHING - you're screwed. Even if the bridge were good for 79 MPH, the "Restricting" signal supercedes all else.
And depending on the circumstances, and especially if you make it publicly known that you had no intention of stopping, you can expect to be terminated for immoral/dishonest/unethical/unsafe/violent conduct.
