1.5 million to automate a bridge that may or may not ever have a train run over it? IF and that is is big if, they ever actually operate enough trains to make automating this bridge a reasonable project, then spend the money. The problem with projects like this is that the bureaucrats running it have no concept of reality and since they are spending other peoples money they could not care less if there is a return on investment.
