I was up in Santa Rosa on business on Friday and saw NWP MOW forces cleaning debris from a bridge north of town by the Airport. It will be interesting to see if the Techno-nerds file suit to block the freight trains. The same tracks will carry SMART trains on the same track over the same ground. I don't think even a Marin County judge is going to block one train and NOT the other. While NCRA might not have the bucks to for a long fight, SMART will break the bank TO stop the so-called environmentalists. Mike Pechner, long time Sierra Club Member and "Green supporter."
