Often one species will try (in an evolutionary sense) to mimic another as a protective measure. For example, the Viceroy butterfly mimics the poisonous Monarch in appearance. In Marin, NIMBYs often try to mimic environmentalists when the only environment they are interested in is their back yard. It is important that we not fall for this attempt at deception. In general, environmentalists and supporters of rail service are on the same page because of the broad environmental advantages of rail shipping and transit.
