Although I didn't get to Vancouver Island until about seven years ago, and I didn't get to meet any of the RR folk when there - I have to say the stories here about how friendly and kind they were resonates for me as to my total experience on the island.

They were just the nicest folk I think I've ever met... everywhere we went. Have to get back up there one day soon and do as much railfanning as is possible.
