As Mr. Schiechi has pointed out, the Amtrak conductor waited for the police to arrive, and the passenger ran from them, not Antrak. But further to that, and also demonstrating bad reporting and jumping to conclusions by most people on the board, how do we know that the passenger was nOT drunk, but was in diabetic shock? We have the word of the man's family, who weren't within 500 miles of the incident!! We now know that the man was found alive 4 days later walking along the railroad tracks. It seems to me that if he actually was in diabetic shock that he would not have been alive 4 days later, but I admit that I'm not a doctor. My point is that we do not have the opinion of any medical person as to the drunk/shock question, so why do we assume to know??
