I just found your July 2011 reply to the Evaro Hill derailment. As you note, communication is much better now that we have the benefit of computers. Still, sometimes discovering the information takes awhile. I see a lot of messages in the thread, but so far I have only read the one you wrote at 0802 on 03082011.

But even that one message provided a lot of information and answered some questions for me. In June 1962 I had just finished my freshman year at Oregon State University and was returning to Chicago, IL. At the time of the derailment I had been awake since sunrise and was riding in the first row of seats on the right side in the dome car that was the first car to remain on the tracks. As they say, it was a ring side seat.

Some time ago, I read a short account of the accident that said a small girl had been killed. I didn't know that her two sisters and parents were traveling together. Do you know the names and ages of the other sisters? Are the parents still alive?
