Guys, I live in Davis and shoot at the depot at night all the time and have never had a problem. Don't blow this out of proportion. There have been several deaths from drunk college students crossing the tracks. There is a big apartment complex over by IN-N-OUT and people don't want to walk around to the underpass to get to the bars downtown. I warned some of my friends one night, I went around, they all got tickets. One of my friends said "it's illegal to walk on train tracks?". People just don't think it's a big deal and don't know any better. They don't see it as any different than jaywalking. Yes, there are signs. But I believe its overkill. Tons of signs are meaningless when there is a well worn foot path and history of crossing the tracks. I'm not defending UP cops, just saying it is a problem for the RR.
As for calling Drew and idiot, no, you are the idiot. Take him up on the merits of his statement with a rational response, post your name as well, and you will have far more credibility.
