You don't listen to them - remember.

So you couldn't possibly have learned it there. Besides, I do listen to them upon occasion; and thus I can figure them out for myself, whether or not I agree - without your political bigotry. You should stop lying!

I personally do not agree with Mr. Jacksich on this. I believe that there is a rightful place for government, and the police. But he is as entitled to his own view as to what that place is, as I am to mine. It does not trouble me one bit when he expresses his. No problem; as I can express mine if i wish - on the issues. NOT ON THE PERSON !

Unfortunately, when some of you lefties don't like what someone says, but can't refute (usually can't) the facts as presented - NO PROBLEM. Just tear down the messenger - rant on with calumny and defamation, make stuff up - accuse them of what you do. call names, and on and on. Forget the message - just shoot the messenger - just discourage or bully people into not saying it.

We've heard it all before - and know who's doing it! Besides, such tactics are as old as the hills as far as I can tell; having first observed them as a 16 year old kid watching how the media "took apart" Barry Goldwater for the Democrats.

I had happened across a live speech of his in town. I heard exactly what he said; but that ain't what was reported - Not at all! The Dems and the media simultaneously (within minutes of each other), Tore him apart, claiming stuff that I had seen for myself wasn't so. So much for honest debate! So much for clarity as to whether we should be involved in Vietnam or not - or how! So much for the people actually getting to decide an issue on its merits!

While I'm sure the Dems do not have a patent on this tactic, it nevertheless is obviously the main subject of the first ten chapters of their playbook. They are very good at it; much better than the opposition; probably because they do it so much. I'm personally weary of it. I am also quite tired of all the bullying on this website.

So enough already - take your superior "debating tactics" elsewhere - none of us are going to change our minds just because of such tactics - nor will we remain silent just because of it!
