Everyone here seems to have something negative to say about Amtrak PD. How many on here have ever tried law enforcemnt as a profession? How many law officers have died so far this year alone? Most railroad police jobs are reactive rather than proactive. Why is this? How many officers do you think work per shift in various areas. How many BNSF officers do you think work in the LA Basin in one shift? Not very many, so how many do you think Amtrak has working, again not very many. Amtrak has how many cameras in high crime West Oakland did you say? What was it 150? Yeah, no wonder their crime rate is low. Lets take down all those cameras and see what happens. Surprise! How long has your badge been expired? I would have denied you entry. How did he know you weren't some employee that was fired and is trying to get back onto the property. Some areas only have one officer assigned to them. Do you really think a single officer can be everwhere at once and stop crimes before they happen?
