This reply is dated years after the original post, but I just want to tell you fellow Mococo enthusiasts that they crossing gates at Byron Hot Springs Road activated today after I drove over the crossing. They are fully functional. I was surprised to see them activate, and waited for a train to pass. But I think the gravel truck that immediately preceded me over the crossing triggered the crossing sensor. The corssing stayed activated for several minutes, but alas no locomotive appeared. The line is red boarded anyway over a trestle in Brentwood, and there's no industry between there and Tracy to service. But at least those crossing gates are fully functional.
