Re: PD Channels in LA Basin Explained

As far as 007 is concerned, I can explain that one. There is a BNSF PD Police Repeater on top of Crestline that has an output of 073 (161.205 MHz) and an input of 007 (160.215 Mhz and a PL Tone that I don't remember what it is.) This repeater is seldom used, but maintained for BNSF PD and can be used anywhere in the LA Basin, Cajon Pass and Apple Valley. UP is licensed for the input at ICTF so their R.R. Police can use the BNSF PD Repeater if need be, but you will seldom, anymore, if ever, hear anybody in the LA Basin on that channel (007) or for that matter, 073. I know the BNSF PD uses some UHF radio system to talk to each other and UP PD has Nextel or something similar, and that is why you seldom hear them on the AAR channels. Hope this is helpful.
