There was a rash of those in the South Bay area a few years back. Some very clever investigative work was done, and a small group of very dedicated police officers were able to catch the clown in the act. He had the 680 commuters frightened for about two weeks and caused some injuries along the way. When he was taken into custody, he was basically a spoiled brat, mama's boy who was bored and thought it would be fun.
