Sadly - Impatience or not - mother nature accepts no excuses......
- whether we like it or not!

While dropping the gates 90 seconds before arrival at the crossing might seem a long time - how long does it take to be sure everyone actually stops be arrival? The federally mandated minimum of 25 seconds is often not enough time to do that.

What I don't understand, is how do you drive around the gates with a high curb in the middle of the street to prevent just that - that's supposed to be a part of all quiet zone crossings. Is it missing here?
