The roundhouse was at what is now the northeast corner of NW 10th Avenue and Lovejoy St. The yard was called "Hoyt Street Yard", and the old SP&S terminal was at Hoyt St., but the roundhouse was four blocks north of Hoyt Street.

The entire yard is gone now, and the area redeveloped into what is now known as the Pearl District, with high-rise condos and apartments all around. There are some remnants of street-running rails in NW 12th Avenue between Hoyt and Johnson, and more for several blocks on NW 15th Avenue from Hoyt up to around Thurman or Upshur (the east-west streets are named alphabetically going north). There is also modern-day street running by the Portland Streetcar system on several streets where yard trackage used to exist.

Hoyt Street Yard essentially was bounded on the west by NW 12th Avenue and on the east by NW 10th Avenue, and extended from the main line along Front Street (now Naito Parkway), down to the stub end at NW Hoyt. NW Lovejoy Street used to be on an elevated viaduct from the Broadway Bridge all the way west to about NW 14th. Since redevelopment of the Pearl District, however, it descends from the Broadway Bridge to ground level at NW 9th Avenue.

This a diagram of the SP&S Hoyt Street yard, overlaid on a current aerial photo:

This photo, taken in late 2010 during construction of the Portland Streetcar extension, looks south along NW 10th Avenue from Marshall St. The roundhouse would have been just to the left of the camera.

This photo faces east. The Lovejoy ramp up to the Broadway Bridge is visible, and Union Station is at the upper right. The turntable would have been just about at the "upside-down-U-shaped" condo building near the center of the photo.
