There were crossing gates and this is just one more example of what goes on every harvest season in the San Joaquin and Salinas Valleys-----we call it the annual harvest season ag equipment demolition derby-------the drivers try to beat the trains and in this case, since it was in push/pull mode the driver thought the train would clear in enough time so he hit the REAR of the train with the engine in push mode rather than the cab where the engineer sits. Nothing new----just business as usual. And obviously it's a slow news day since it even made the ABC national news.
