He thought he could make it across in time, but it turned out he couldn't. With tragic, heart-wrenching consequences.

What a tragedy that this driver had poor enough judgement to put his passengers' lives in danger. The fella should be put behind bars for--at minimum--the bare-bones sentence for four counts of manslaughter and gross negligence.

If I was an employer, I wouldn't hire this guy when (if?) he gets out, either. Probably blacklist him from any trucking company.
