With WES, only passenger trains that are slowing to serve the station must slow and take the gauntlet track off of the main. Freight trains - any train that does not serve the platform - do not enter the gauntlet and thus proceed at full speed without slowing down.

So no impact to freight or express trains.

(This is probably the ONLY time I will say something, anything, nice about WES.)
