BNSF is not in a "meltdown". All these claims are being exaggerated. Removing power where it is not needed has been and will continue to be common practice and does not require an extra crew because it occurs when the crew change occurs. BNSF has been "short" of power for the last year and has always managed to get by, nothing new. Trains are still moving, every siding between the west coast and Chicago is not full of dead trains. This is peak season and better than recent years past.
